Aam Aadmi Sena, a splinter group of the Aam Aadmi Party, has threatened to snap power supplies to both Congress president Sonia Gandhi and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal’s houses on Thursday.

“Our argument is Congress ruled Delhi for 15 years and AAP in its 49 days of rule doled out freebies but didn’t prepare a summer action plan --- if the whole of Delhi is going without power, the two can’t live in comfort,” said group head Prabhat Kumar.

Congress and AAP leaders however said they have not even heard of this group. “This is some publicity-hungry outfit. They would not be even allowed anywhere near Soniaji’s residence,” said a Congress leader.

There has been load shedding ranging from one to five hours in several areas of east, west and south Delhi as a number of major power transmission lines, damaged by the storm on May 10, are yet to be restored.

They also protested when Kejriwal refused to submit bail bond at Patiala House court. Kejriwal had appeared in a defamation case filed by BJP’s former president Nitin Gadkari.
