Deepak Kashyap, Agra's self-acclaimed healing guru, was shot dead while he was moving into a new home here, police said on Monday.

Kashyap, 52, was killed on late Sunday when he was shifting luggage in his new rented accommodation in Taj Nagri area. He was accompanied by two women and a man, the landlord told police.

"Two persons on a motorbike came and opened fire. Kashyap fell on the ground. He was taken to a nearby private hospital where he died after a couple of hours," a police officer said.
"Investigations are on. The motive of the crime is not yet clear," the officer added.
Kashyap was involved in a dispute over a land deal. He had been in news for claiming to heal people's diseases.
