Is Bangladesh another Taliban in the making. This is not a hypothetical question but the observation is on the basis of series of events taking place in the neighbouring country, according to a RSS ideologue MG Vaidya.

Quoting reports of 'Asian Tribune' dated December 12, 2005, Vaidya in his weekly column in a local Marathi daily said "the reports are a cause of serious concern for India. The events taking place there are dangerous for human rights, justice and dignified life."

"The present government in Bangladesh is hardcore, influenced by Muslims and therefore 'Jehadis' are dominating the country. More than 400 bomb blasts were carried out in August last alone by Muslim terrorists," the former RSS spokesman said.

This clearly indicates presence and strength of Islamic terrorists which has targetted judicial courts, residences of jurists and independent media organisations, he said.

Vaidya states in his column that these terrorists have close links with Pakistani counterparts which has been proved. One of the leader Mufti Fajlool Haque got his training in Karachi when Afghanistan was ruled by Taliban.

"When America which is far off from Bangladesh can sense a trouble then why the Centre is not initiating steps to counter terror, anti-India violence has been given a shelter in Bangladesh," the column said.
