The Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed Hindi film 'Black' swept the second Apsara Awards held in Mumbai on Saturday evening bagging 10 trophies including best actor, best actress, best director in addition to be adjudged the best film.
The film, which portrays the relationship between a deaf, blind girl and a teacher, brought best actor award to Amitabh Bachchan, best actress to Rani Mukherjee and best director award to Bhansali.
Black emerged the undoubted winner on the evening sweeping all the major awards in the technical category as well including best sound recording for Sulpookutty and best cinematography award for Ravichandran.
The film's child actress Ayasha Kapoor, who played the youth of Rani Mukherjee, bagged the best supporting actress award while Bhansali himself won awards for best screenplay and best story.
Among the other winners, were Vidya Balan, who won the best outstanding debut award for 'Pareenitha' and Abhishek Bachchan who bagged the best supporting actor award for his role in 'Yuva'.
