BJP wins Patna West Assembly seat

Nitin Navin defeated his nearest Congress rival Rana Ajay Singh by a huge margin of over 60,000 votes.

BJP retained Patna West Assembly seat for the fifth time in a row on Thursday with party candidate Nitin Navin defeating his nearest Congress rival Rana Ajay Singh by a huge margin of over 60,000 votes.

Out of 5.12 lakh electorate, only 19.85 per cent had exercised their franchise in the April 24 by-election, necessitated by the death of Navin Kishore Prasad Sinha -- father of Nitin Navin.
