The much-awaited "Temptations 2004" opened to some 14,000 fans at the Pacific Coliseum with a performance by a local Punjabi dance group. It was followed by a fashion show parading a range of Indian women's wear, from lehngas and sarees to salwar kameez and fusion outfits.

But with the largely South Asian and increasingly impatient crowd ready to spill blood, Bollywood stars began making their entry. Six stars, each representing one of six "temptations" -- love, lust, power, greed, envy and passion -- performed to their hit numbers to enthrall the audience.

Priyanka Chopra, as "Love", set the ball rolling with torrid taps of her svelte legs to the tune of "Pyaar Aaya..." She was followed by Arjun "Power" Rampal's shirtless show, greeted with fervent squeals by the girls in the audience.

Surprisingly, instead of dancing to his latest hit "Hum Tum...", Saif preferred the three-year-old but equally popular number "Yeh Ladki Hai Kahan..."

Preity Zinta, as "Passion", entertained the gathering with "It's The Time To Disco...", while Rani Mukherjee danced to a song from her film "Saathiya".

The squeals turned into shrieks as King Khan made his entry. Beginning with his qawwali number from "Main Hoon Naa", Shah Rukh soon took everyone by surprise by appearing on a moving trail in the middle of the crowd.

Other stars then joined him, performing to parodies of their numbers. Saif and Arjun later jammed on the guitar while Priyanka sang some numbers on her own.

The finale was "Time To Disco" once again, with all the stars performing together.

This was Temptation 2004's last stop in North America, after much-appreciated performances in Dallas, New Jersey, Toronto, Calgary and Los Angeles over the last 10 days. The show will now move to South Africa.
