Faux Food series by David Sykes: London-based still life photographer David Sykes has a knack for turning mundane objects into delicious-looking morsels. In his recent Faux Food series, a four-foot custom-designed plate and a picnic table background serve as the setting for three mega meals. He converts balloons in various shapes and sizes into a traditional English breakfast (Light Breakfast) — fried eggs, sausages, beans and tomatoes. Basketballs, rope and red towels into spaghetti-and-meatballs in Spaghetti Hoops. In Fish Supper, Sykes converts bathroom objects into Fish and Chips. So, towels masquerade as fish fingers, loofas as fries and green soap as peas.
