He was 62. He had been suffering from protracted kidney-related illness and was on dialysis for a couple of years.

Vajramuni, a well-known socialite, was quite fearsome when he donned the role of a villain, bringing alive the character he played.

His famous films include BangaradaManushya, SampathigeSawal, GandaBherunda, HuliyaHaalinaMevu and Mayura.

The last rites of the departed artist would be conducted in the evening. Large number of cine personalities such as Rajkumar, Vishnuvardhan and actor-turned LokSabha member Ambareesh paid their last respects to the deceased at his residence.
