Aalam had met Koirala backstage, where she had looked a bit nervous. Koirala had apparently told him that she wasn't used to speaking at such national level events. So, when it was her turn to go on stage, Aalam asked her how she felt about the two nations coming together.

As Koirala pondered over her answer, in a spirit of friendly leg-pulling taking from their previous interaction, he asked her if she was nervous? Koirala smiled, but the hotheaded Feroz jumped uninvited to her defence stating she was an actress so she didn't need to be nervous.

Aalam ignored his outburst, at which Khan warned him not to 'insult Manisha Koirala!' Aalam, perhaps aware of Khan's 'famous temper' didn't react and continued with his on stage Q&A. A drunk and irked Feroz then yelled out: 'If you don't apologise, I will beat the shit out of you.'
