Lokayukta court judge K Sudhindra Rao adjourned the matter for hearing to November 16, granting time to the complainant, city-based advocate Sirajin Basha, to argue on the matter on the basis of the Lokayukta probe.

The court further directed the registry to furnish a copy of the Lokayukta police report to the complainant.

The Lokayukta police had submitted the report of the investigation in the matter earlier this month.

In the complaint, Yeddyurappa and five others including his sons and son-in-law were accused of irregularities in denotifying government land in Rachenahalli in Bangalore South taluk, which caused an estimated loss of about Rs 40 crore to the state exchequer.

This is the first complaint out of the five filed by Basha on which the court took cognisance and ordered investigation by Lokayukta police.
