Former Orissa MLA C Satapathy dies

Chakradhar Satapathy had been undergoing treatment for cardiac and lung diseases for past one week in the hospital.

Former MLA Chakradhar Satapathy, who defeated Mr Biju Patnaik in the Patkura Assembly constituency during 1967 Assembly elections, passed away at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on Sunday. He was 76.

Mr Satapathy was elected to the state Assembly on the Praja Socialist Party ticket.

A resident of Kalabuda in under Patkura, he had been undergoing treatment for cardiac and lung diseases for past one week in the hospital.
