Former Union Law Minister Hans Raj Bhardwaj would assume charge as new Governor of Karnataka on Monday.

He would be be sworn in by Karnataka High Court Chief Justice Justice P D Dinakaran at "Glass House" in the Raj Bhavan at 4.30 pm.

He was appointed governor of the state on June 23.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa attended high tea hosted by the outgoing Governor Rameshwar Thakur who is set to take over as Governor of Madhya Pradesh, and bade him a warm fare-well.
Ministers V S Acharya, S Suresh Kumar and Mumtaz Ali Khan and state DGP Ajaikumar Singh and Bangalore Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari were among those present.
