Now staff at a housing association in Leicester - not just Asians - are learning Gujarati so they can provide more efficient service to customers.

Ben Clark, Neil Gilliver and Tracey Silk, who work at East Midlands Housing's office, have enrolled on a 12-week Gujarati language course at Soar Valley College.

The course is tailored to ensuring students learn language skills relevant to housing application forms, repairs and rent issues.

The Leicester City Council estimates that up to 60,000 people in the city speak Gujarati.
