An Indian video salesman has been jailed for three months on charges of selling and renting out pornographic films.

Adliya (26) was sentenced by the Lower Criminal court here after a raid at the video parlour last month yielded 22 pornographic videos and 32 VCDs, along with thousands of pirated movies, Bahrain's Daily News reported.

The salesman arrived in Bahrain three-and-a-half years ago under the sponsorship of the video shop, from where thousands of Indian films were seized by inspectors from the Information Ministry.
