"The ongoing investigations into the car bomb blast that killed four persons and wounded scores of others including a former minister, Usman Majeed, pointed to the involvement of LeT outfit in the heinous act," Deputy Inspector General of Police, Srinagar and Badgam districts, HK Lohia said.

He said the investigation team has found that the suicide bomber, who was blown to pieces in the blast, was a Pakistani national.

Lohia said the investigations are going on in right direction and those behind the bombing would be brought to book soon.

"So far we have made no arrests... But the investigation is going on in the right direction and we are hopeful that we will crack down on the LeT module responsible for the recent spurt in violent acts soon," the DIG said.

"We continue to change our strategy to foil the terrorists' plans. But sometimes they succeed," he said.

Asked about precautionary measures taken by the authorities to avert such attacks at public places, the DIG said we are working on a two-pronged strategy to scuttle the future plans of the terrorists.
