The first restaurant to introduce the concept of stylish South Indian dining in Connaught Place in the early '90s, Kovil turned out to be ahead of its time. It had shut shop and relocated to Pitampura, though it's back at a humbler address in CP. The Pitampura outlet is clean and does not get very crowded until the evening. The MLA Pesarattu, which is a moong dal dosa with a filling of upma, is the best of the offering; the Potato Bondas are soft and crunchy and go best with the ginger tea.
