STUDENTS OF Kalapadma Bharatnatyam Nritya Academy, Bhopal, performed a dance drama “Kumar Sambhavam” at Omkareshwar in “Shankari Mahotsav” on the occasion of Shivratri. This mahotsav was organised by Kalidas Academy, Ujjain.
The dance drama was composed and choreographed by Guru Shankar Hombal, Premchand Hombal and Bharti Hombal. The dance drama was performed in three scenes. The first scene depicted Manglacharanam and description of Himalaya.
The second scene was focused on Shiva’s meditation, Kamdev making Shiva get attracted towards Parvati, Shiv tandav and ultimately Shiva’s Trinetra burning Kamdev to ash. The third scene showed the marriage of Lord Shiva and Parvati. Teacher of Carmel Convent School, BHEL, Shweta Sharma, played the part of Lord Shiva. Bharti Hombal played the part of Parvati.
