Madhavan-Kamal Haasan film delayed by volcanic ash

“The volcanic ash cloud over Europe resulted in the shoot being pushed forward, since nearly 90 per cent of the movie is set aboard a cruise liner and will be shot in Rome, Venice, Paris, Barcelona and other European cities,” says Madhavan. The actor has just returned from Aruba, where he had gone for a special screening of 3 Idiots, with director Rajkumar Hirani and co-actor Sharman Joshi. He’ll now set sail for Europe from Mumbai on June 25. He was recently in Chennai for a two-day workshop with Haasan and Trisha, following the press conference to announce the film.

He has also signed up for a TV game show called Big Money, and will start shooting for it after he returns from a month-and-a-half-long spell of Manmadhan Ambu. “It requires 12 odd days in three months,” he informs. He will soon also be seen in Tanu Weds Manu, a Hindi rom-com with Kangana Ranaut and Jimmy Sheirgill. There’s also a cameo in Abbas Tyrewalla’s 1-800 Love, toplining John Abraham and Pakhi. He’s in talks with Vashu Bhagnani for Faltu that re-launches the producer’s son, Jackky. “I’d love to do Vashuji’s film, we’re figuring out the dates,” he says.
