"The ongoing investigation by state Crime Investigation Department (CID) is virtually giving official stamp of approval to the ruling CPI(M)'s claim that banned All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) was behind the blasts," he told reporters in Agartala.

The charge of investigation should be handed over to CBI immediately to find the truth and arrest the criminals, because current investigation has not allowed police to act impartially, he said.

Nath said, he had a telephonic talk with chief minister, Manik Sarkar, and urged him for arranging a special session of the assembly to discuss the issue.

He said, the persons involved in this connection should be arrested irrespective of caste, creed, religion and political identity.

Nath said, the central government sanctioned Rs 37.82 crore for modernisation of the police force in past three years but the police could not prove efficiency despite pumping so much money.
