I have been living in Gurgaon since 2006 after I shifted from Delhi's Vasant Kunj in search of peace and open green spaces. I chose a Huda sector over to private developer colonies hoping for better infrastructure. However, years later, I have not seen much improvement.

Forget poor civic amenities, we face a larger issue of security here with burglaries and snatching being reported every alternate day. I don't see regular police patrolling and there are no meetings between sector residents and the local police, as done in Delhi.

I have never seen the local police take a step forward and reach out to us. Slums are mushrooming at a rapid pace in vacant plots and the police seemed to have turned a blind eye.

Moreover, the rising crime graph is a major concern for senior citizens. We just wish the police and the district administration come forward and interact with residents more often to develop a symbiotic relationship to rein in the deteriorating law and order.
