If you watch this movie (though that is not recommended) wait for the DVD. That way you can hit the mute button from Frame 1 and keep it that way till the last sounds have faded away from Chal Chala Chal, which is an assault on one’s senses, particularly the ears. All you’ll miss is dialogue like ‘ Pyaar ki tanki overflow ho rahi hai’ and the slanging matches between a bunch of characters who seem to like the high-decibel life. Even hard-core Govinda fans would be stretched to find a redeeming moment in this film.

For the record, Govinda plays Deepak, a do-gooder simpleton who, with friend Sunder (Rajpal Yadav) gets into business with a ramshackle bus. Alas, the fates, his family and even his love interest, Payal (Reema Sen), conspire against him. His only support is his father Omkarnath. Your only support could be that mute button.
