“This decision will control the attempts to get a majority through back door and form a government that has no moral right to be there,” Rawat said in a reference to the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party.

Here is what other political leaders had to say about the political crisis in Uttarakhand:

“By taking charge suo motu as chief minister, Rawat has created a constitutional crisis.” BJP spokesperson Munna Singh Chauhan

“Harish Rawat took the CM office on Friday without permission of the governor.” – BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya

“It is a good judgment; quite hopeful that the view of the HC won’t find favour with the SC.” – Congress rebel MLA Vijay Bahuguna

“We have never had anything to do with the Uttarakhand crisis. They are doing their work and we are doing our work.” --- Ramdev
