Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and Delhi-based girl Mira Rajput, who met at Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB), a religious group that the two follow, tied in a nuptial knot in Gurgaon on Tuesday.
Shahid and his father Pankaj Kapoor are ardent followers of RSSB sect and even Mira Rajput’s family often attends RSSB’s meetings. It is reported that leader of the group Baba Gurinder Singh suggested the match and both families agreed to it.
The couple, who got engaged last year, preferred their marriage a private affair with close family and friends and RSSB head attending the function, said a sevadar on condition of anonymity.
He also said a few other RSSB devotees were also attended the wedding function.
Sources said the newly-wed couple would be visiting RSSB soon to seek blessings from the ‘babaji’, head of the dera.“They will be coming that’s all we know, but the date is not confirmed yet,” said sources.
“Pankaj Kapoor is a RSSB follower and a preacher too. Besides, the couple also used to come here with their families. Thus, after their marriage they will soon be visiting here (may be in a week or so),” said sources.
