The application forms for admission in Post Graduate Diploma in Spectroscopy is available at the dean office of Science Faculty in Banaras Hindu University.

Head of Physics department, Prof CP Singh, informed that the course is of one year duration and is intended to give training to the students in the use of spectroscopic technique.
Prof Singh informed that last date for submitting completed application forms in Physics Department is July 31. The classes would be conducted in evening hours so as to enable students in other course to join this course.
“No candidate shall be admitted to the examination unless he has passed the B.Sc. examination with physics or chemistry of BHU or any other examination recognized by the Academic Council as equivalent to it and has prosecuted a regular course of study in the subject prescribed for the examination for not less than one academic year at this university,” he added.
Prof. Singh said that this course shall be open also to the research scholars and teachers in the faculties of Science, Engineering and Technology (mining and metallurgy), Agriculture and Medicine. “Admission to the course shall also be open to the regular students of the post-graduate classes in science faculty,” he said.
