September 3, 2006: Gujjars hold agitation at Hindaun Railway station, demanding reservation.

October 3, 2006: Gujjar Tiger Force formed to fight for reservation.

May 29, 2007: Chakka jam at Patoli. 5 people including a policeman killed in violence.

June 23, 2007: Mahapanchayat held in Pushkar on reservation demand.

September 27, 2007: Gujjar milkmen refuse to sell milk to press for reservation.

October 2, 2007: Col Bainsala calls for ‘jail bharo’ agitation in Bharatpur.

October 5, 2007: Railway track between Dumaria and Fatehsingpura removed.

March 2, 2008: Mahapanchayat in Khedli.

May 23, 2008 : ‘Rail Roko’ agitation in Peelupura. Gurjars block rail trackand disrupt rail traffic. The police fired at various places killing 16agitators.

The demonstrations were violent at Sikandra in Dausa district which forced the police to open the fire which killed 20 protestors and one policeman also became the victim.

May 24, 2008: Rajasthan government extends invitation for talks to Gujjars leaders led by Col Bainsala.

June 9, 2008 : Preliminary talks held at Bayana between Gujjar representatives and government representatives. Second and third round of talks held on June 13 and 14, 2008 at Jaipur. Col Bainsala joined the fourth and fifth round of dialogue on June 16th and 17, 2008.

Rajasthan SC,ST, Backward Classes, Special Backward Classes (Reservations of seats in educational institutions in the State and appointments of posts in the service under Rajasthan) Act 2008.

June 10, 2009: Maharavar Mahapanchayat gives ultimatum to government.

July 26, 2009 : Col Bainsala hold Mahapanchayat in Penchla village of Todabhim.

March 26, 2010: Col Bainsala announced Mahapadav in Pushkar to oppose government’s decision to go ahead with the recruitment for 80,000 posts without waiting for Rajasthan High Court decision on special reservation.

May 5, 2010: Col Bainsala reaches accord with government. Government agrees to 1% reservation to Gujjars in the special backward class category within the 50% reservation quota. The remaining 4% reservation was put on hold till the court verdict.
