The Union Bank School of Management, a first such initiative in the banking sector to train its personnel in management education programme, was inaugurated in Bangalore on Thursday.

Union Bank CMD K Cherian inaugurated the institution at a function in Bangalore, according to a bank statement.

The school will offer a fulltime one-year management education programme on the lines of the MBA for its officers in various cadres.

About 30 officers, selected after stringent selection process, would undergo training in the first batch, it said.
