Protesters and family members Sonu Goyal continued their agitation outside Baran Government Hospital for the fourth day without accepting his body over demand of a CBI probe and arrest of accused BJP district president Naresh Sikarvar, his four brothers and two nephews.

Over six people beat up Goyal, 33, at Devri region of Baran on the night of June 25 while he was on his way to Devri town with his brother Ramavtar. Police have so far arrested Naresh Sikarwar’s brother Mahendra Pal Singh and Ramdhan Balai. The Vaishya community of Baran has extended support to the family of the victim.

As towns Kishanganj, Kelwara, Nahargarh, Samraniya, Rani Barod and Bhanwargarh observed bandh, Jhalawar district Congress held a dharna against the murder, attended by Jhalawar Congress president Madan lal Verma, former district Congress president Raghuraj Raj Singh Haada and others.

Meanwhile, Rajput leaders led by Satyabhan Singh and Arjun Singh Gaur from the BJP demonstrated in front of the inspector general of Kota range’s office alleging wrongful naming of Sikarwar, a Rajput, in the case.
