The diary of the main accused in the 2007 Ajmer blast, Sunil Joshi, contains the names of high-profile RSS spokesperson Ram Madhav, RSS leader Indresh Kumar and BJP member of Parliament Aditya Nath.
But Madhav said anybody’s name could figure in an individual’s diary. “It is ridiculous and shows the dubious direction of the investigation.”
The anti-terrorist squad said in its chargesheet that the series of blasts in the Mecca mosque in Hyderabad, Malegaon and Ajmer was a reply to attacks on Hindu religious places. It said the blasts were first planned in April-May 2004 during the Simhastha Kumbh in MP. And the alleged mastermind, Swami Aseemanand, addressed the accused during the festival.
Among the accused were Joshi — who was killed in 2007 — Pragya Thakur, Lt Col Srikant Prasad Purohit, Sudhakar Dhar Dwivedi, alias Dayanand Pandey, and Sameer Kulkarni.
The ATS said Aseemanand called for avenging the attacks on Amarnath Yatra, Akshardham temple in 2002 and Raghunath temple in Jammu.

{{/usCountry}}After the plan was hatched, the accused discussed the strategy in May 2005 and Joshi contacted Devendra Gupta, who is in judicial custody now.
In October 2005, at the first meet of the conspirators, RSS leader Indresh Kumar asked the team to work “under the garb of some religious organisation”.
