"BJP always opposed any change, progress, and development effected by the Congress party even in the present UPA government led by Dr Manmohan Singh," AICC Spokesman Mohan Prakash told a reporters in Jaipur.

BJP's prime ministerial candidate LK Advani always raised old and disputed matters as a poll plank, he said, adding it has been proved that there was dearth of real public issues and matters in the saffron brigade.

Speaking about Advani as a PM-in-waiting, he said, "Now time is changing, the waiting list never gets confirmed and it is era of "tatkal".

Hailing the UPA government's success in every scheme it has launched including NREGA, Bharat Nirman, Sarva Siksha, Nuclear deal, mid day meal, Prakash said the Congress thus projected Singh again as the prime ministerial candidate.

"At least PM is not going out of the party as done by previous NDA government wherein BJP used to sought permission of Sangh Pariwar in Nagpur...Why and what was the need to consult the RSS?" he said.
