Gadkari, Raje lay foundation stones of Rs 8,487 Cr projects in Hadauti

Gadkari, who holds the portfolio of road transport, highways, shipping, water resources and Ganga rejuvenation, also announced that a Green Express Highway will be developed between Jaipur and Delhi.

“Land alignment for the Delhi-Jaipur Green Express Highway has been finalized and acquisition would start next month after taking consent from the CMs of Haryana and Rajasthan,” he said.

The Union minister said that he has resolved the water dispute between Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi. “Now, Rajasthan need not seek the NoC for repair of Indira Gandhi Nahar Pariyojana,” he said.

He said the government was making efforts to produce ethanol-based biofuel from farm waste, including paddy straw, wheat husk and cotton. Vehicles are also being designed to run on ethanol-based biofuel. “We will soon announce a new policy for extraction of methanol and ethanol from coal on which vehicles could run,” he added.

Among others, Gadkari and Raje dedicated to public Nagda-Anta Drinking Water Project and Lahasi Drinking Water Project. They also laid did foundation stones of Government Engineering College, Baran, Atru Shergarh Drinking Water Project, Parwan Dam, and Dara-Jhalawar-Deendhar road section on National Highway- 52.
