“We have arrested Ram Niwas Jat’s wife Susheela and her lover Ishwar Lal Jat, resident of Falasia village, along with two contract killers, Sukhvinder Singh alias Lalu and Gurvinder Singh of Bundi district.

A case of murder and criminal conspiracy has been registered against them,” said superintendent of police Prasanna Khamesra.

On January 18, the police found a body at Aditya Cements, Shambhupura near Falasia village. The body was identified to be that of Ram Niwas Jat, a storekeeper.

Jat’s elder brother had filed a complaint with the Shambhupura police suspecting the role of Susheela and her lover Ishwar Lal, a local resident.

During preliminary investigation, the police found that the couple — Susheela and Ram Niwas — had strained relations over Susheela’s alleged illicit affair with Ishwar Lal.

The alleged killers attacked Ram Niwas with an iron rod on his head, while he was on the way to factory on January 18. He died on the spot.

The police on Saturday arrested Susheela and Ishwar Lal from Falasia, while Lalu and Gurvinder Singh were arrested from Bundi.

Later, they were produced before a court, which sent all of them to police remand till January 27. The cops are trying to recover the arms used in the crime.
