BJP names Harsh Vardhan, Manoj Tiwari among Lok Sabha candidates in Delhi

The BJP named all seven candidates for Delhi and also announced candidates for Amritsar seat in Punjab and Ghosi in Uttar Pradesh.

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday released its 23rd list, naming candidates for Delhi, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

It named Union minister Dr Harsh Vardhan to contest from Delhi’s Chandni Chowk, Delhi unit chief Manoj Tiwari from North East Delhi, Pravesh Verma from West Delhi, Ramesh Bidhuri from South Delhi and Union minister Hardeep Puri from Amritsar. Puri is a Rajya Sabha MP.

Delhi votes on May 12 while voting in Amirtsar will take place on the last phase on May 19.

It also named Shankar Lalwani as its candidate from Indore which was represented by outgoing Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan who chose not to contest this time. Indore will vote on May 19.

It also re-nominated sitting MP Harinarayan Rajbhar to contest from Ghosi in Uttar Pradesh where polling will take place on May 19.
