Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said “Mahamilawat meant chaos and corruption and only the BJP could effectively develop UP.
Addressing a rally at Madhopur in Bhadohi district, Modi said India topped the world in producing handmade carpets because of the weavers of Bhadohi and added that modern looms were being provided to weavers and they were being trained.
“With the blessings of the people, India is counted among the powerful nations of the world. India’s words are taken seriously. From Saudi Arabia to UAE and from Philippines to Russia, India is getting respect,” he said.
Modi added that he ensured the release of 850 Indians from Saudi jails after discussing the matter with the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his visit to India.
Speaking on surgical strike across the Line of Control (LoC), Modi said the move made every Indian proud but the ‘mahamilavatis’ were not ready to accept India’s success.
“They (opposition parties) are saying that Modi ensured a ban on Masood Azhar because of elections. The Congress and its friends look everything from election point of view,” he said.
He said after Independence, the country saw four types of political parties –Vaampanthi (Communists), Naampanthi (who promoted dynastic politics), daam or damanpanthi (musclemen and oppressors) and Vikaspanthi (those who followed the path of development).

He said despite remaining the chief minister of Gujarat and serving country as the PM for five years, he didn’t do anything for his family.
“The Congress’s Naamdar ensured his business partner bag defence deals. Naamdars, who never cared for constructing houses and toilets for the poor, toured from London to Delhi many times to do favour to his business partner,” he said.
“When ‘mahamilavatis’ get power, they did NRHM scam. When we got the chance to serve the people, we gave Ayushman Bharat and ensured development,” Modi said.
“When they come to power, law and order collapses. When we form government, bails of anti-social elements get cancelled,” Modi said, praising the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government.
