Union minister Giriraj Singh of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the current member of Parliament from Nawada in Bihar.

Giriraj Singh, the Union minister of state (independent charge) for micro, small and medium enterprises won the seat in 2014 Lok Sabha election after he defeated Raj Ballabh Prasad of the Rashtriya Janata Dal. Before Giriraj Singh, his party colleague Bhola Singh was the winner from the seat in 2009.
