The Maharanjganj police on Wednesday arrested two youths on charges of forcing a couple to make love in front of the camera and then putting the video on social media.
The 9 minute and 22 seconds long video, shot around 10 days back in a nearby jungle, went viral on social media following which the police team swung into action and arrested Brijesh and Somnath of Pipria Tola, Banarsingh kala in Maharajganj.
“Both the two accused have been booked under POCSO act, SC/ ST act, Sec 67 IT act and Sec 354 B, IPC,” said SP RP Singh.
The video shows two persons using sticks to repeatedly beat up the couple. Made to lie on the ground, the couple was seen pleading the accused to let them go.
One of the accused was seen asking the boy to indulge in intimate position with the girl in front of the camera. The accused were also seen forcing girl to take off her clothes.
“We will kill you and throw your body in river, the accused can be heard warning the couple,” said police.
