And it’s not just food for stomach, but even food for thought, that’s offered by Hindustan Times Palate Fest and Hindustan Times Imagine Fest 2017.
Fond of cooking? Catch popular chefs such as Saby and Pankaj give live demo. Craving for music? Tune your ears to hear popular city bands bring the house down. Want to be part of intellectual discussions? Hear authors and fashion designers talk on diverse issues. There’s something for everyone!
“Music has always been a part of the fest but we decided to include talks on various topics this time. These talks are not just about literature but even fashion and sports – anything that you can imagine,” says Aditi Kapoor, co-founder and director, Palate Fest Pvt Ltd.
Ruchi Sibal, co-founder and director, Palate Fest Pvt Ltd., adds, “To make the fest a pleasurable experience for people, we have mobile wallets in place, and card machines working with full connectivity.”
“This is our debut performance at the Palate Fest, we are opening the festival and have decided to stick to Bollywood and Sufi numbers,” says Parth Sharma, lead vocalist, Tarkash band - which performed on day one. Vibhor Hasija, keyboardist of the band adds, “We wanted to make people high with our music and were quite successful.”

Pullman New Delhi Aerocity is offering mouth-watering Shrimp Tempura, cured mango, tobanjan aioli, sushi. “We sold out our Beetroot Spinach Tikkis pretty early on day one. Guess people are preferring vegetarian food options more,” says Arjun Abbi from Dilli Haus.

A treat for the eyes is the Market Zone, where tempting displays of crumbly macaroons at Sugarama and gooey cake pops at Cravings among others, compel you to indulge your sweet tooth. Keep an eye out for gluten-free golgappas by WholeFoods, which disappear in no time. The fest that is on till Feb 12. And on the final day, you could catch Yami Gautam discuss the changing role of women in contemporary cinema, or ace fashion designers JJ Valaya and Rina Dhaka discuss the nuances with FDCI president Sunil Sethi. As for the fans of sports and wit, watch out for Virender Sehwag’s session. Euphoria band will also be performing at the do.
