In the battle for supremacy in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, early trends show the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leading in Panvel and Bhiwandi.

The BJP is surging ahead in the battle to secure the Panvel City Municipal Corporation, with a lead in 23 seats.
As per the latest trends, the Peasants and Workers Party (PWP) has maintained a lead in 11 seats in Panvel.
The BJP is leading in the urban areas of Panvel, while the PWP is holding strong in rural areas, where they have galvanised the farmers.
This is the first election for the PCMC, which was formed last October.
Meanwhile, the Congress and BJP are neck-and-neck in Bhiwandi-Nizampur Municipal Corporation election. The Congress is leading in eight seats, while BJP is leading in seven seats of 90 seats. Shiv Sena is maintaining a leading in eight seats.
The Sena, meanwhile, is leading in seven seats for the race to secure Malegaon Municipal Corporation. As per the latest reports of the counting of votes for the 84 seats spread across 21 wards of the Malegaon Municipal Corporation, the Congress and Nationalist Congress Party are leading in five seats each, and BJP is leading in two seats. The AIMIM is leading in six seats.
