Television actor Parth Samthaan, who was booked for molestation under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code in March, has now been booked under the protection of children from sexual offences act (POCSO) by the Bangur Nagar police.

The stringent sections of POCSO were added against the actor after the 20-year-old complainant in her second statement on Sunday claimed that Samthaan had also molested her four years ago, when she was 16 years old.
The case was filed in March this year, following a statement by a 20-year-old aspiring model, who claimed that Samthaan had demanded sexual favours from her. According to the police, the victim lives in Evershine Nagar, Malad (West) and was acquainted with the accused.
Samthaan has acted in Hindi television shows, including ‘Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan’.
Police officials said that they are conducting an inquiry in the case, and as of now no arrests have been made, as the actor has moved Dindoshi court for an anticipatory bail.
