Volunteers of India Against Corruption (IAC) have decided to visit all major government offices in the city, Navi Mumbai and Thane, and take a honesty declaration from the senior most official.

Volunteers will visit offices such as the rationing office, civic ward office, housing agencies like Mhada and Slum Rehabilitation Authority, and ask the senior most officer to sign a declaration letter stating: “I and my department will neither ask for any bribe nor indulge in any corruption”.
“We have a database of about 13 lakh volunteers divided into 12 zonal groups,” said Mayank Gandhi, coordinator, IAC. “Volunteers will fix stickers stating “Bhrastachar Nished” on the walls and in the premises of offices they visit.”
If the officer refuses to sign, a list of such officers would be submitted to chief minister Prithviraj Chavan.
