Maharashtra: FYJC applications cross 1-lakh mark

Over 1.3 lakh students have applied for FYJC online admissions as of June 12. Of these, more than 91,000 have completed filling the option forms, which constitutes the last step in the application process. Applications to around 1,27,000 seats are being accepted online.

According to the figures released by the deputy director of education, Mumbai region, the highest number of applications came from the western suburbs, with 26, 945 students submitting option forms. This was followed by south Mumbai, from where 12,895 students have filled option forms. From Navi Mumbai, 3,866 students have completed the process of application.

The directorate has insisted on the submission of original mark sheets of students applying from other boards and even from other parts of the state. “This year, even state board students applying for online admission from another division will need to submit their mark sheets,” said BD Phadtare, deputy director of education. Maharashtra board students are expected to receive their original mark sheets on June 15.
