The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya at Colaba is organising an amateur photography competition ‘Mumbai Thru Your Lens’ for school and college students.

The competition is open for those in the age group of 13 to 23 years. Participants are required to submit a photograph of a historically or culturally famous place in Mumbai, accompanied with a short summary on the significance of that place in defining the city’s identity.
“The idea is to encourage youngsters to do something creative out of their hobby and have a fun learning experience in the process,” said Sabyasachi Mukherjee, director, CSMVS.
Selected photographs from the competition will be part of an exhibition that will be displayed alongside two exhibitions of photographer EO Hoppe —Hoppé’s Bombay 1929 and Santiniketan’. The deadline for amateur photography contest is December 13. Best 30 photographs will be exhibited at the Curators’ Gallery of the Museum from December 23 to January 12.
