Tak in police custody till July 19 in Laila Khan case

Tak was arrested by Jammu and Kashmir police, where he had confessed to have kidnapped Khan and her family and murdered them. Following his claims, the Mumbai police obtained his custody and Tak was produced before the court on Monday.

Police sought Tak's custody for 14 days to find out where Tak had kept Laila Khan and the five members of his family, or if he had indeed killed them. So far, the crime branch has booked Tak only for kidnapping.

Seeking Tak's custody, the public prosecutor said investigators wanted to find out if there were others involved in the crime.
