Jasleen Kaur Royal prefers negative criticism over positive feedback

Love You Zindagi singer Jasleen Royal shares that she was a very shy kid and hated being the centre of attention.

Singer Jasleen Kaur Royal might have become a popular name in the industry but being the centre of attention is something that she just cannot handle.An introvert from her school days, Jasleen says, “In school, when I used to return to the classroom after a break, and had to ask my teacher for permission to enter, I could feel the entire class looking at me for that brief moment, I used to get shivers. I have no clue how this transformation happened,” says Jasleen.

Singer Jasleen Royal has sung tracks such as Love You Zindagi (Dear Zindagi; 2016) and Whats up (Phillauri; 2017).

For the Ludhiana born singer, fame is another thing that she is slowly coming to terms with and admits that she is more wary of positive feedback. “I actually get more worried when positive criticism comes my way. I don’t know how to handle it. One day, someone was praising my song, and I didn’t know how to respond to that,” adds Jasleen.

The singer adds that negative criticism is better and rather easier to handle. “It keeps you on your toes. If you are getting comfortable, it helps you get out of it and try to do something different. But I don’t invite negative criticism always. If I am not in a good mood, I just tell people to shut up,” she laughs.
