Singer Tulsi Kumar, who was recently awarded for her song Soch Na Sake from the film Airlift, says that the biggest recognition for her is love from her fans.
“Awards come as an appreciation for your work, so they are definitely a feel-good factor. But I strongly believe that doing good work that touches people’s hearts is important and appreciation, accolades and awards follow. For me, the biggest award is to build a connect with my listeners,” she says.

The singer, who is music producer Gulshan Kumar’s daughter, also launched her new single Mere Papa recently and says that recording it was challenging. “I took keen interest in the making of the song and in no time the entire song was written, composed and conceptualised. When I went to the studio to record, I got extremely emotional and just couldn’t hold myself together, but I guess it was my father’s blessing that gave me the strength to record this song beautifully,” says Tulsi.
“My father wanted to see me become a singer and today where I am is totally because of him. He will always be my biggest inspiration. This song is my tribute to him,” she adds.
