Fans had been expecting a second album from Papon for long. After releasing his debut solo Hindi album — The Story So Far — in 2012, the singer-composer is finally working on it after four long years.

Having composed singles such as Jiyein Kyun, Moh Moh Ke Dhaage and Bulleya for Bollywood films, Papon says, “After the first album people know you, so you work on making music that’s bigger and better. Plus, I’ve been busy working on films. That’s why it took time,” he says.
The 40-year-old adds he did not want to disappoint fans musically. “I didn’t want to make something that I didn’t believe in completely just because people wanted it quickly. This album took a lot of time and I’m sure it’s going to be big in terms of sound and content, and that people will fall in love with it,” he says.

Can one expect singles being released one by one or an album altogether? “I haven’t found a common theme between the tracks to be able to release all of them together. So maybe, I will release all as singles (over a period of time) and later, as a compilation. If everything goes well, we’d release the first single within August,” says Papon.
