IMPHAL: The Manipur government has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the clashes between prisoners at the Sajiwa Central Jail in the wee hours of Saturday that left three inmates including two, who claimed to be from Saudi Arabia, dead. “The inquiry will be conducted by the deputy commissioner (Imphal east district) and it is scheduled to be completed within 30 days,” deputy chief minister Gaikhangam said on Monday. “Once the inquiry is completed, the government will re-look the rules of the jail.”
