NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Wednesday disapproved the tendency among unaffiliated colleges and other educational institutions of admitting students, saying such conduct has become a “disease”, which is a “disastrous phenomenon”. The remarks came as it dealt with the issue of admission of students by a UP college, whose three-year provisional affiliation expired last year and it had failed to get permanent affiliation within the stipulated time frame to induct students for the 2015-16 academic session.
