The victims said they were on their way to Naifal, near NH-24, from Dasna when three persons on an Apache rammed their bike. A white Apache was also reported to be used in a recent incident in which a cash collection agent was shot and robbed of his possessions by three bikers in Kavi Nagar on May 8.

“After their bike hit us, we fell down. Two of them ran after me and kept firing their gun. I ran into the nearby fields and called my family members from my phone. Meanwhile, the other person was repeatedly hitting my brother, Shahabuddin (48), with the weapon and severely injured his head. He later fell unconscious,” said Mohammad Asif, one of the victims.

The brothers are cattle traders from Dasna and were on their way, around 7.20am, for conducting a deal in Naifal, near Masuri. Shahabuddin had the money stacked in his pocket, which was taken away by robbers. The victim said that the three men were stockily built and aged from 25-30 years. They had covered their faces with cloth.

Police officials also reached the spot and inquired about the incident. “We have formed several teams to trace the robbers. An FIR for robbery is also lodged at Masuri police station against the three unidentified robbers. We will track them soon,” said Pawan Kumar, circle officer (Masuri).
