Stellar football club rears to make another entry into tournament

With just four days to go, Stellar football club are going aggressive with their campaign to get back in the race for HT GIFA tournament through a wild card entry.

With just four days to go for voting lines to close, nine-member team of Stellar football club are going aggressive in their campaign to promote themselves to get back in the race for Hindustan Times Great Indian Football Action (HT GIFA) tournament through a wild card entry.

The team will be representing their residential society Amrapali Village in Indirapuram at HT GIFA - an ultimate soccer league for Delhi-NCR – which has become a calendar event for football lovers and residents. Soccer teams from all over Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad compete for winning the tournament.

In the pre-qualifier match held on August 21, Stellar football club dropped out of the race as they lost the match. However, all is not lost as the under-14 team can get back in the race by garnering the most number of votes to get a wild card entry in the tournament.

People can vote for their favourite teams in the tournament online by logging on to www.htgifa.hindustantimes.com/voting/ . The voting lines close on September 10.

The team is using all social media platforms to campaign for their team in order to gather a large number of votes.

“Everyone is supporting the team and spreading the word to vote for them to get back in the tournament. We are also promoting the team on Facebook, Twitter and whatsapp,” said Himika Devnath, Sreyansh’s mother.

According to the team’s coach, the team had been practising for the past six months for the tournament.

“HT GIFA is an amazing platform for children to showcase their talent and we want that it should be held every six months rather than being an annual event,” said Ajay Shukla, team’s coach and manager.
