In order to address queries filed by applicants with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) regarding the All-India Pre-Medical Test-2016, the board has sent out notifications and uploaded the same on its website as well.
Queries raised by the applicants included refund of excess fee, medium of language for exam, change of examination centre, qualification impacting eligibility of candidate, photograph/document-related doubts among other things.
According to the information uploaded on the CBSE website, the medium of language for exam will be bilingual, implying that those who opt for English will get question paper in English and those who opt for Hindi will get it in Hindi.
The notification also states that no change is allowed once the choice of the examination centre has been submitted. The board also clarified that in case anyone has filled wrong qualification, it could not be changed. However, it will have no effect on the eligibility of the candidate in the AIPMT examination.
Meanwhile, the CBSE in another notification regarding the All-India Pre-Medical/PreDental Test-2016, has stated that the applicants must read the bulletin carefully before submitting the application form.

{{/usCountry}}The notification also states that the applicants must speak for a smaller period of time on the board’s helpline numbers as it has been observed that some applicants continue to talk for too long. Lastly, the notification also states that the applicants must confirm their queries with single caller and not call on multiple helpline numbers for the same doubt.
This comes at the backdrop that the board had provide nine mobile numbers and telephone numbers in order to respond to general queries of the candidates in addition to one toll-free number.
City-based PMT trainer and academician Arvind Goyal said, “It is good to see that the CBSE has answered the commonlyasked queries by the students, though this should have been more beneficial if it was done before the last date of form submission (without late fee). Also, the board should give a bilingual question paper to all candidates so that the candidate of Hindi medium, who have filled in the English option by mistake should not suffer in the exam. To minimise the number and length of the queries, the CBSE should ensure that the person on the helpline is well versed with the rules and regulations and should be able to give a satisfactory reply.”
